About L Anguille River Duck Club

LRDC is located East of Marianna Arkansas, right in the heart of the Mississippi River Flyway. We are just a few miles from three major duck highways, the L'Anguille, St. Francis, and Mississippi rivers. LRDC was founded in 1996 by Larry Higgins.  We offer guided and non-guided duck hunts in flooded fields, cypress sloughs, lakes, & flooded timber.   We have been hunting the same land for generations and will put our duck holes up against any in the country.  We have a great repeat customer base that has been coming to LRDC since our early days because of being honest about duck numbers and being flexible with rescheduling hunts. When you hear of Arkansas duck hunting you automatically think of Stuttgart, but that is not the only flyway in Arkansas, and we are lucky enough to be right in the middle of one of the best in the Arkansas Delta.

Our Guides

Our Guides

Our guides scout our hunting locations daily to keep track of the duck activity. By doing this we will have a plan for the next mornings hunt no matter what mother nature throws at us. By the time the ducks make it to Arkansas they have seen every spinner, splasher, and decoy spread you can imagine. That is where our experienced guides really shine. We have hunted these same spots for years and know what works. Some days we may throw out 6 dozen decoys, and others we may only use a dozen. Spinners may work one day, and the next a good jerk string is all you need. One morning you may get out of breath blowing a call, and the next a couple of quacks is all you need to have them fall in your lap. After the first hunt you will see that you are in good hands with LRDC.

What To Expect

What To Expect

At LRDC we offer several different hunting situations.  When you hunt our fields you will be hunting out of skid, permanent, and pit blinds over flooded corn, beans, rice, and millet.  We have several permanent blinds in our sloughs and lakes but occasionally will stand in buck brush and cypress knees depending on where the ducks are.   In the flooded timber we will stand around trees with dog stands built for your dog to be out of the water. At LRDC we kill a diverse species of ducks from Mallard, Pintail, Gadwall, Teal, Wood Duck, Wigeon, Shovelers, and occasional Redheads and Canvasbacks.
